Église Saint-Martin-de-Tours d'Oradour-sur-Glane

The Église Saint-Martin-de-Tours is a partially destroyed church whose stone walls and sections of vaulting remain standing within the preserved village. The building displays fire damage and structural remains that reflect the events of its wartime past.

The building became the site of a massacre on June 10, 1944, when German SS soldiers gathered more than 600 villagers inside. The structure was set on fire and destroyed, resulting in heavy loss of life.
