Chapelle anglicane Saint-Thomas d'Arcachon

The temple features brick and stone architecture with wooden interior elements, seven Pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows, and biblical verses inscribed on the ceiling.

Built in 1878 for British residents with tuberculosis, the Anglican chapel became a Protestant temple in 1975 after serving as a German military storage during World War II.

The temple represents the evolution of religious communities in Arcachon, transitioning from Anglican to Protestant Reformed worship while preserving its architectural heritage.

The Protestant parish of Arcachon Basin and Northern Landes conducts regular services in this temple, which underwent renovations including stained glass restoration in 2015.

The temple's bell tower from 1898 stands separately in the garden, relocated during the building's transformation from Anglican chapel to Protestant temple.
