Jetée de la Chapelle

Jetée de la Chapelle is a pier extending from Arcachon's waterfront into the ocean, with a prominent Sailors' Cross marking its entrance. The structure provides direct access to the water and views across the bay.

The pier was built in 1902 with a simple wooden structure of four beams and stairs to provide water access. Later improvements added lighting fixtures to enhance safety and usability for visitors and fishermen.
