Pereire Beach

Pereire Beach is a sandy coastal area in Arcachon that stretches for several kilometers along the bay, featuring fine white sand and clear waters overlooking Cap Ferret peninsula. The shoreline is backed by promenades and open spaces that give access to the water from multiple points.

The beach was developed in the early 1900s when Boulevard de la Mer was built to connect the city center with the Le Moulleau neighborhood. This infrastructure opened the area to swimmers and established it as a popular bathing destination.

The beach serves as a gathering place for local fitness groups who practice yoga and tai chi in the early morning hours. These sessions attract both residents and visitors during the summer season, creating a social routine along the wide sandy shore.
