Jetée d'Eyrac, Steel and wooden pier in Arcachon, France.

The Jetée d'Eyrac is a steel and wooden pier extending into Arcachon Bay, built as a functional maritime structure. It provides direct access to the water and connects the waterfront with boats offering excursions around the bay.

Built in 1845, the pier served as a vital link for travelers arriving by train from La Teste who then took boats to reach the seaside. This early infrastructure helped establish Arcachon as a coastal destination.

The pier serves as a gathering spot where locals and visitors watch the bay and enjoy the sea breeze together. People spend time on benches observing the water and experiencing the rhythm of daily maritime activity.

The pier is centrally located in Arcachon behind the casino and remains open year-round for visitors to stroll at any time. Its accessible design allows families with strollers and people with limited mobility to easily reach the waterfront.

Next to the pier sits Place Peynaud with a wooden horse riding school that entertains children and families. This small feature creates an interesting blend of water-based and land activities in one spot.
