Château du Breuil, Renaissance castle in Iffendic, France.
The Château du Breuil stands with stone walls and towers, featuring architectural elements from its 1863 construction by Aristide Tourneux.
The castle replaced a medieval manor house whose first recorded lord, Jean du Breil, served in the Company of Lord de Montfort in 1351.
The estate contained numerous dependencies including a chapel, dovecote, orchards, and seven farms spread across the surrounding countryside.
The castle remains a private property, with only exterior views possible from public areas near the entrance gate dating from the 16th century.
A severe fire in 1903 destroyed the upper sections and roof of the castle, leading to modifications including bricked-up decorated doors and windows.
