Le Cârouj, Heritage theme park in Monterfil, France
Le Cârouj features more than 60 traditional games from Brittany, including boules gallèses, tug-of-war, short stick games, and Landudec skittles.
The park has maintained its presence in Monterfil for over three decades, preserving and showcasing traditional Gallo-Breton games for future generations.
The annual Gallésie weekend in June brings together concerts, storytelling, and Breton games, making Le Cârouj a center for regional traditions.
From April to October, visitors can enjoy the park on weekends from 14:00 to 18:30, with extended hours during school holidays and summer season.
Professional staff members organize entertainment sessions based on selected traditional games, teaching participants the rules and techniques of Breton pastimes.
