SENSAS Rennes is a leisure facility in the French city that guides visitors through six different stations featuring challenges set in near-complete darkness while experiencing sensory deprivation. The concept developed from an idea to reshape entertainment by combining sensory deprivation with interactive experiences in innovative ways. The facility grew out of a desire to offer visitors something beyond typical amusement offerings.

The venue helps visitors understand how people with sensory disabilities navigate the world by letting them experience sight, hearing, and touch limitations firsthand. This direct encounter builds empathy and awareness in a way that observation alone cannot achieve.

It works best to come with a group of at least four people, as this is required to make a reservation. Dress comfortably and avoid carrying loose items, since you will be moving through darkened spaces.

Each group has a specially trained guide called a Sense Master who leads participants through the activities and helps them understand their reactions to sensory loss. This personal guidance transforms the experience from mere sensation into genuine learning about how the senses work.
