Château Lilian Ladouys

Château Lilian Ladouys is a wine estate in Saint-Estèphe in the Bordeaux wine region, covering about 80 hectares of vineyards planted mainly with red grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The property includes production facilities and cellars where the grapes are processed and aged in oak for about 14 months before bottling.

The property was acquired by the Lorenzetti family in 2008, prompting significant improvements to wine production processes and vineyard management. Since then, the estate has developed into a modern operation that combines traditional Bordeaux winemaking with updated techniques.

The estate follows traditional Bordeaux winemaking practices with hand harvesting and oak barrel aging, and visitors can see how the vineyard team carefully selects grapes throughout the year. This approach shapes how the place looks and functions as a working wine production site.

Visitors should arrange tours in advance to explore the vineyards and production facilities and learn about the winemaking process firsthand. The quieter months outside of harvest season are often better times to visit when appointments are easier to schedule.

The estate uses a gravity-fed vinification system with custom-designed vats that minimizes damage to grape skins during fermentation. This specialized approach to handling the harvest is unusual and shows careful attention to preserving the fruit quality.
