Château de Saint-Frambourg, Heritage château in Ivry-sur-Seine, France

Château de Saint-Frambourg, also called château d'Ivry, was a square-plan stone château built for Claude Bosc around 1691 and modelled on the château d'Issy. It was destroyed before 1840; only terrace walls remain near rue Raspail, while the attached moulin de la Tour still stands. A 2020 reconstruction of its ground-floor plan shows a vestibule, salon, dining room, chambers and a staircase.

Claude Bosc, provost of the Paris merchants, built the château around 1691, between June 1690 and June 1692; its square plan copied that of the château d'Issy. On 7 August 1697 Bosc had a standing statue of Louis XIV placed in a room beside the main parterre, celebrated with fireworks and illuminations reported in the Mercure Galant. The estate later passed to the maréchal d'Uxelles, then to Henri-Camille, marquis de Beringhen, and to Marie-Adélaïde de Bourbon, who died there in 1821. It was demolished before 1840 and its site turned into farmland.

The site is now the Parmentier square area, formerly the Saint-Frambourg crossroads.

The château no longer stands: it was demolished before 1840 and its site turned into farmland. What remains are mainly terrace walls, near Rue Raspail and the former Saint-Frambourg crossroads, now Place Parmentier between the town hall and Charles-Foix hospital. The mill of La Tour, once attached to the seigneurie of Ivry and Saint-Frambourg, still stands.

What survives are mainly terrace walls, while the Moulin de la Tour, once attached to the seigneurie d'Ivry and Saint-Frambourg, is still standing. The former hamlet of Saint-Frambourg lay between the town hall and the Charles-Foix hospital, on today's place Parmentier, once called carrefour Saint-Frambourg.
