Biotropica

Biotropica is an animal park near Paris that combines a large tropical greenhouse with outdoor areas where various species live in recreated natural habitats. The site is divided into several zones representing different ecosystems and housing animals from around the world.

The park opened in 2012 and was created under the guidance of experienced wildlife professionals. Three years later it took its current name and became part of an established network of animal facilities.

The facility presents educational programs about wildlife conservation, featuring 140 species across nine distinct environmental zones.

The park is located within a larger recreational complex with other attractions and amenities. A walking path guides visitors through all areas, allowing them to explore the different zones at their own pace.

The greenhouse allows visitors to observe tropical animals in a controlled environment without experiencing extreme heat. This feature makes the site especially accessible for families who would otherwise struggle in such climate conditions.
