Tigre de Sibérie, Steel roller coaster in Le Pal, France
The Tigre de Sibérie is a steel roller coaster in Le Pal park shaped like a figure-eight, with yellow tracks held up by green metal supports. It winds through the park for 360 meters, taking riders on a twisting path with several turns and drops.
The coaster was made by French company Reverchon and first opened to the public in 1990 under the name Grand 8. It was renamed later to match better with the park's animal and wildlife focus.
The name comes from the Siberian tiger and reflects how Le Pal works as both an amusement park and wildlife park at the same time. You notice this mix everywhere as you walk through, with rides and animal areas sitting side by side.
The ride is open to all visitors, though younger or smaller passengers may need an adult to go along. Speeds reach up to 40 kilometers per hour, so prepare yourself for the movements and turns during the ride.
The coaster holds 28 passengers total in seven cars, with two riders sitting side by side in each one. This design lets many people experience the ride in a short amount of time.
