La Chaussée-Tirancourt oppidum, Celtic fortification in La Chaussée-Tirancourt, France.
The oppidum extends across 35 hectares between the Somme valley and Acon valley, with a 457-meter-long chalk ditch called fossé Sarrazin.
Archaeological excavations from 1983 to 1991 revealed that the fortification was constructed between 40 and 25 BC, after the Gallic Wars.
The site contains traces of a 30-meter high lookout tower and remains of a murus gallicus supported by vertical posts.
The fortified settlement includes a five-meter-wide entrance with a reinforced access corridor stretching twenty meters in length.
Geophysical surveys conducted in 2014 identified multiple anomalies that predate the Roman occupation, indicating earlier settlement patterns.
