The Dragon Cave of Béraire is a medieval cave set into limestone cliffs along the Loire River bank. The interior features natural rock walls with massive round pillars that support the vault, extending about 10 meters deep and 15 meters wide.
This cave dates to the 6th century when Saint Mesmin encountered a dragon within it. The site later became a pilgrimage destination and served as the saint's burial place.
