L'Aiguillon-la-Presqu'île

L'Aiguillon-la-Presqu'île is a coastal town at the mouth of the Lay River in Vendée. The landscape features long sandy beaches with wetland areas and natural habitats stretching between the Atlantic Ocean and the Marais Poitevin.

This municipality was formed on January 1, 2022, when two former coastal towns merged into one. The combination brought together two separate communities along this stretch of the Atlantic coast.

The five supervised beaches and three maritime ports serve as central locations for nautical activities and community gatherings throughout the year.
