Défilé du Coin de la Roche

The Défilé du Coin de la Roche is a canyon with vertical limestone cliffs running along road D437 between Pontarlier and Morteau. A hiking trail winds through the narrow valley, allowing visitors to explore the geological formations that define this landscape.

The limestone formations of this gorge developed over millions of years through erosion, creating a natural passage that has connected communities in the Doubs region throughout history. People have used this route as a key travel corridor through the mountainous terrain.
