Chacha Tower

Chacha Tower is a 25-meter structure featuring a clock and four fountain pools at its base, located in Batumi's modern district. The structure is illuminated at night and serves as a central landmark in the city skyline.

The structure was completed in 2012 and draws its architectural style from a building that stood in Batumi during the early 1900s. This reconstruction honors the city's past while embracing contemporary design.

The tower embodies Georgian drinking traditions and attracts visitors who gather around its fountains to observe the evening ritual. It connects an everyday custom with a contemporary public space.

The tower stands in a central location and is easily accessible on foot, especially during early evening hours when the fountain display begins. A restaurant nearby allows you to sample Georgian specialties while enjoying the view.

Each evening the tower dispenses the traditional Georgian spirit chacha from its fountain pools as part of a ten-minute display. Few places in the world offer a national spirit in this public ritual form.
