Palais du Peuple, Legislative building in Conakry, Guinea.
The Palais du Peuple stands as a five-story structure with dual entrance staircases leading to a central patio in downtown Conakry.
Built in 1967 through Chinese-Guinean cooperation, the palace has served as the National Assembly headquarters since Guinea gained independence from France.
The building hosts national ceremonies, political gatherings, and social events with a congress hall that accommodates up to 2000 attendees.
Located at the entrance of Kaloum peninsula, the palace underwent major renovations in 2008 to restore its functionality for public gatherings.
The palace features the national coat of arms at its central front, designed by Chinese architect Chen Dengao from the Architecture Design Institute.
