Olympos National Park

Olympos National Park is a mountainous area in Pieria that spreads across multiple ridges, deep valleys, and numerous peaks at varying elevations. The terrain combines different landscapes, from dense forests in lower areas to rocky, open spaces at higher elevations.

This area became Greece's first national park in 1938, protecting a landscape that has been visited and revered since ancient times. Archaeological finds suggest that the site has been used for religious purposes since at least the classical period.
