Sammallahdenmäki, Bronze Age burial site in Rauma, Finland.

The archaeological site contains 36 granite burial mounds spread across a hilltop, forming one of the largest prehistoric cemeteries in Finland.

Between 1500 and 500 BC, inhabitants of the region constructed these stone graves, which later became essential for understanding Bronze Age funeral practices.

Archaeological excavations at Sammallahdenmäki revealed evidence of trade connections through discovered artifacts, including bronze items from distant regions.

The site features marked walking paths connecting the burial mounds, with informational signs explaining the historical context of each structure.

The rectangular formation called Kirkonlaattia measures 16 by 19 meters and stands out among the typical round-shaped burial mounds of the period.
