Patvinsuo National Park

The park spans 105 square kilometers of marshlands, clean lakes, and pine forests, featuring extensive networks of marked trails through varied terrains.

Established in 1982, the park preserves evidence of past settlements, including a late 19th-century Savupirtti hut used during fishing expeditions.

The park serves as a research center for studying different types of swamps, containing both raised bogs from southern Finland and string bogs from northern regions.

Visitors can access 80 kilometers of marked trails, with the Suomu Nature Information Hut providing maps, equipment rentals, and guidance for outdoor activities.

Lake Suomunjärvi contains sandy beaches and capes lined with tall pine trees, offering opportunities for swimming and lakeside sauna experiences.
