Vita Björn Prison Museum, Prison museum in Sund, Finland.
The Vita Björn building contains five prison cells and living quarters where a guard resided with his family during the facility's operation.
The prison, constructed in 1784, served the justice system for nearly two centuries until 1975, with additional cells added in 1839.
The museum exhibits present the evolution of Finnish prison practices through chronological displays spanning from the late 1700s to 1950.
Visitors can explore the museum daily from May 2 to September 15, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with combination tickets available for Kastelholm Castle.
The building underwent restoration in the 1980s using period-appropriate materials to recreate its original appearance, becoming Finland's first prison museum.
