Glims Farmstead Museum

Glims Farmstead Museum preserves eleven original structures spread across a rural landscape that resembles a medieval village setting. The buildings range in age and contain period furnishings and work tools that show how residents lived and worked.

The property functioned as a working farm starting in the 1500s and later served as an inn between 1778 and 1822 under the Lönnberg family. This dual use reflects how rural farms adapted to generate additional income from travelers.

The buildings reveal how farm families organized their daily routines and shared work between household and fields. Walking through the interiors shows which rooms served cooking, sleeping, and craft work.
