Hatanpää Manor, Manor from 1885 in Tampere, Finland
Hatanpää Manor is a neo-Renaissance house built in 1885 in Tampere, Finland, situated on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi. The building features multiple formal rooms across two levels and is set within an English-style garden that extends across the property.
An earlier manor stood on this site during the 1690s before it was destroyed by fire. Architect Sebastian Gripenberg then designed the current building that was constructed here in 1885.
King Gustav III of Sweden visited the manor's owner Hans Henrik Boije and subsequently issued an order to establish the city of Tampere.
The ground floor rooms can seat about 120 people for dining, while the upper level accommodates around 200 people for sitting events. The garden is particularly pleasant on fair days and allows visitors to explore the surroundings at their own pace.
The gardens here have space for more than 600 people, making them among the largest outdoor historical venues in the region. This capacity has allowed many memorable gatherings to take place over the years.
