Meilahti Church

The Meilahti Church features two distinct worship spaces under one roof, incorporating both Finnish and Swedish congregational areas within its structure.

Architect Markus Tavio designed this religious structure following a 1938 committee initiative, with construction completed and doors opening in February 1954.

The church interior contains metal crosses on altar walls and specialized lighting fixtures resembling crowns of thorns, reflecting Finnish religious design elements.

Located at Pihlajatie 16 in Helsinki, the church building rises 25 meters high and stands near the main traffic artery of Mannerheimintie.

The bell tower houses a bell originally intended for Vyborg Cathedral, featuring an inscription that reads Pro Viburgo.
