Uusikaupunki Church

Uusikaupunki Church is a red-brick structure with Gothic features, marked by high ceilings and the traditional elements typical of Finnish ecclesiastical architecture. The interior contains a notable organ and standard religious furnishings arranged in the classical layout of a Nordic church.

Architect Georg Theodor Chiewitz designed the building, which was constructed between 1858 and 1863 to serve the expanding population of Uusikaupunki. Its creation reflected a period of growth and development in the town.

The church has served as the main gathering place for religious ceremonies since its construction and remains a focal point for the community. Summer organ recitals bring music into the space and draw both residents and visitors together.
