Zrenj

Zrenj is a small settlement in northern Istria, positioned on a hillside surrounded by forests and green countryside. The village consists of just a few houses that blend into the rural landscape.

The settlement has deep roots in the medieval history of the region and belonged to Venetian territories for centuries. Later it came under Austrian control, which shaped the architectural and cultural development of the place.

The Church of Saint Jerome, constructed in 1910, replaced an older religious structure that had been documented since the 16th century.

The village is reachable via country roads that wind through forested areas and local pathways. The best time to visit is during warmer months when the roads are easily accessible and the weather remains stable.

The Gravisi family built their palace in Stridone during 1778, though the exact location of this structure remains undetermined among current buildings.
