The village of Stridone sits at 457 meters above sea level in northern Istria, offering views across multiple village towers in the region.
During Roman times, Stridone served as a fortified settlement called Stridonium before coming under the control of Aquileia Patriarchs in 1063.
The Church of Saint Jerome, constructed in 1910, replaced an older religious structure that had been documented since the 16th century.
The bell tower of the Parish Church reaches 36 meters in height and provides visibility of neighboring villages from its observation point.
The Gravisi family built their palace in Stridone during 1778, though the exact location of this structure remains undetermined among current buildings.
