Daruvar Castle

The stone castle features two floors with symmetrical design, classical ornamental details, and large windows arranged in a traditional Baroque pattern.

Built in 1777 under the direction of Antun Janković, the castle remained in the family's possession until 1878, marking a century of noble residence.

The castle appears in the Register of Cultural Goods of Croatia, representing architectural techniques and social structures of the 18th-century Croatian nobility.

Located at Ulica Ivana Gundulića 1 in Daruvar, the castle maintains regular opening hours and offers guided tours through its preserved interior spaces.

The castle stands near thermal springs that date to Roman times, when the area was known as Aquae Balissae, combining architectural heritage with natural resources.
