Presidential Palace, Zagreb

The Presidential Palace in Gornji Grad is a modern building with clean geometric lines and spacious exterior grounds. The structure displays twentieth-century architectural language through generous proportions and functional design.

The building was completed in 1964 as part of Croatia's architectural modernization movement under architects Vjenceslav Richter and Kazimir Ostrogović. It marked a shift toward contemporary design in how the state chose to represent itself.

The Sala Terrena reception room holds a collection of historical objects representing different periods of Croatian state history. While difficult to see, this space shows how the nation preserves its own past.
