Zagreb City Museum, Municipal museum in Gradec, Croatia
The Zagreb City Museum maintains a collection of 75,000 items spread across galleries within a restored monumental complex at 20 Opatička Street.
Founded by the Brethren of the Croatian Dragon Society in 1907, the museum occupies the former Convent of the Poor Clares from 1650 with its 12th-century tower.
The permanent exhibition presents Zagreb's evolution through politics, religion, economics, urban planning, architecture, art, literature, and entertainment across multiple centuries.
The museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with admission at 5 euros for adults.
Archaeological remains discovered beneath the museum building form part of the exhibition, connecting visitors directly with the site's ancient history.
