Tkalec Manor, Baroque manor in Robadje, Croatia.
Tkalec Manor is a baroque building with a rectangular shape, featuring a long porch and arcades that face toward the southeast. It sits near the village of Štrigova in Međimurje County, in the northern part of the country.
The manor was built in the middle 1700s and originally belonged to the Pauline Catholic Order. Its ownership changed when King Joseph II of the Habsburg dynasty dissolved this religious order in 1786.
The cellar features a wooden wine press from 1858 that shows how wine production shaped life in this region for generations.
The manor can be reached through the village of Robadje in northern Croatia, accessed via local roads through the rural region. Plan your visit during daylight hours to fully appreciate the building and its surrounding landscape.
A short distance away, the viewpoint Mađerkin breg offers elevated views across the landscape toward the manor and surrounding vineyards. This higher vantage point reveals how the building fits into the broader agricultural setting that defined its purpose.
