Ždrelac Bridge

Ždrelac Bridge is a steel structure in the Zadar archipelago that spans 210 meters between Ugljan and Pašman islands. The center arch extends 68 meters, creating a wide deck designed for vehicle traffic.

The bridge was built in 1972 to finally connect the two islands with a direct route. A major renovation occurred in 2009, when engineers reinforced the structure and widened the deck.

The bridge connects two islands that were once isolated, allowing residents to visit each other and maintain a shared community life. People use it daily to reach jobs, schools, and family on either side.

The bridge is part of the D110 state road and provides a smooth crossing for cars and small trucks. The best time to cross is early morning or late afternoon, when traffic is lighter.

Boats and ships up to 16.5 meters tall can pass beneath the arch, making the structure particularly interesting for sailors. The narrow channel requires vessels to navigate carefully through the passage.
