Ždrelac

Ždrelac is a settlement positioned on both sides of the bridge that connects the islands of Pašman and Ugljan, forming a natural gateway between the two landmasses. The Church of St. Luke sits at the heart of the community and serves as the central landmark organizing the layout of this small island harbor.

The parish church of St. Luke has records dating back to the 13th century, marking the original settlement on the northern shore of Pašman island. This medieval place of worship formed the foundation around which the community later developed into the harbor it is today.

The settlement has deep roots in island life, where local celebrations like the Ždreška Fešta bring residents together with traditional music and dance performances. These gatherings reflect how the community values its maritime heritage and keeps shared traditions alive through yearly events.

A bridge approximately 210 meters long connects the two islands with a continuous road, making it easy to travel between them. Regular ferry services from the mainland provide alternative ways to reach the settlement if you prefer not to drive across.

Skraping is a local sports event where participants navigate rocky coastal paths, experiencing the rough terrain of the island up close. This unusual challenge combines physical effort with exploration of the natural landscape that defines the settlement.
