Baron Sigmund Schossberger commissioned architect Gyula Bukovics to build this residence in 1873, completing construction by 1883.
The castle reflects the rise of Hungarian industrial magnates during the late 19th century through its architectural grandeur and advanced amenities.
The building underwent extensive renovation in 2020, transforming into a five-star hotel with conference facilities and over 100 rooms.
The castle's innovative design included an intricate system of mirrors and fanlight windows to illuminate the entrance hall with natural light.
