Tura, Administrative division in Pest County, Hungary
Located in the Galga Valley between the Great Plain and Mátra Hills, Tura serves as a regional administrative center in central Hungary.
The settlement, first documented in 1220 as Thwra in the Varadi Regestrum charter, belonged to the Ákos family before changing ownership to King Sigismund in 1425.
