Vankóné Dudás Juli Emlékház

Vankóné Dudás Memorial House is a traditional farmhouse with wooden columns, carved timber details, and a tiled roof that reflects early 20th-century architecture. The main building and several outbuildings contain furniture, household items, and tools from the period.

The farmhouse was built in 1905 by the Kurucz family, who owned and worked the surrounding land. The structure dates from a period when agriculture was the main livelihood of families in the region.

The museum displays paintings and decorated plates created by Juli Vankóné Dudás, depicting local customs and everyday moments in the region. Her works show how people celebrated and lived in the Upper-Galga community.

The house is accessible during the warmer months and is best explored on foot through its connected rooms. Since the spaces are small and intimate, visitors should take care when moving between the different areas of the building and outbuildings.

A special section housed in the former stable displays a collection of photographs taken by several professional photographers across different decades of her life. These images document her in various stages, creating a visual record that many visitors overlook.
