Csővári No 1 Cave, Limestone cave in Csővár, Hungary

The cave extends 19 meters in length with two distinct entrances, featuring chambers arranged in a stepped pattern due to tectonic movements.

Research of the cave began in the 1950s when members of the Budapest Vörös Meteor Climbing Club investigated the natural formations on Várhegy.

Archaeological excavations in 1931 revealed remains of ancient human habitation along with bones of prehistoric animals, including a woolly rhinoceros.

The cave maintains a depth of 2.2 meters and a height of 1.4 meters, with floors covered in rock debris and clay deposits.

The formation stands out for its soft limestone walls and lacks typical cave features such as stalagmites or stalactites.
