Bear Farm Veresegyház

Bear Farm Veresegyház is a zoo and sanctuary in Hungary where rescued bears live in spacious enclosures designed to resemble their natural habitats. The facility houses bears of different species and allows visitors to observe these animals up close.

The facility began as a response to the need for proper housing of bears from circuses and inadequate conditions across Eastern Europe. It was established to provide rescued bears with dignified shelter and care.

The grounds are best explored during daylight hours, and visitors can watch two daily feeding sessions that offer an intense experience. The best time to visit is from March to September, when extended hours make exploration easier.

The site operates a specialized veterinary unit focused on treating injured wild bears and preparing them for possible release back into nature. This sets it apart from typical zoos and shows its genuine rehabilitation purpose.
