Danube Palace, Neo-Baroque concert hall in Inner City, Hungary

The Danube Palace displays intricate architectural details with painted ceilings, marble columns, and ornate decorative elements throughout its multiple grand halls and rooms.

Completed in 1897 under architect Vilmos Freund, the building started as the casino of Lipótváros district before becoming nationalized after World War II.

The Palace hosted performances by renowned composers including Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, and Antonín Dvořák in its acoustically engineered concert hall.

The building contains multiple function spaces including the Theatre Hall with 294 seats, the Brown Salon for conferences, and the Széchenyi Room for private events.

The Theatre Hall features the only cupola-crowned performance space in Hungary, incorporating an antique cooling system similar to the Parliament Building.
