Spenótház

Spenótház is an office building at Széchenyi István Square with a distinctive green-tinted glass facade that reflects light across the surrounding area. The structure houses numerous companies and provides direct connections to public transportation networks throughout Budapest.

The building was designed by architects Miklós Hofer and Tibor Hübner in 1980 as Budapest shifted toward a different architectural approach during the late socialist period. Its modern glass and steel design represented a new direction for the city's urban development at that time.

Local residents call it Spenótház, meaning Spinach House, because of the distinctive green color of its glass facade. This nickname has become part of everyday conversation and shapes how people think about this corner of the city.

The building sits at a central location with easy access to public transportation and is within walking distance of downtown Budapest. Keep in mind that this is an administrative building and access to certain areas may be restricted.
