II. Rákóczi Ferenc Tisza-híd, Road and truss bridge across Tisza River near Kisvárda, Hungary

The II. Rákóczi Ferenc Tisza Bridge extends 532 meters across the Tisza River, featuring a steel truss design that supports both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The bridge construction commenced in 1992 and reached completion in 1998, marking a significant infrastructure development period in post-communist Eastern Hungary.

The bridge bears the name of Francis II Rákóczi, a Hungarian nobleman who led an independence movement against Habsburg rule in the early 18th century.

The structure connects communities on both sides of the Tisza River, providing a critical transportation link for daily commuters and commercial vehicles.

Engineers incorporated specific load-bearing capabilities into the bridge design to accommodate heavy agricultural machinery common in this rural region of Hungary.
