Town Hall Theatre is a performance venue on Courthouse Square in central Galway, offering two separate performance spaces of different sizes. The main auditorium seats around 400 people while the studio space accommodates approximately 50 spectators.
History
The building was constructed in 1825 as a courthouse designed by the architect Alexander Hay in the neoclassical style. In the 1950s it was converted into a cinema before eventually becoming a theatre.
