Westport House-Church Ruins

Westport House-Church Ruins is a stone structure beside the Carrowbeg River within the Westport House estate grounds. The building preserves its original walls and displays the features of a former parish church.

The parish church was constructed in 1797 and served the local congregation until 1868, when a new building was erected with funds from the Marquess of Sligo. After this shift, the original walls remained standing as a historical record.
