St Patrick's Tower, Former windmill in Thomas Street, Dublin, Ireland

The eight-story brick tower rises from Thomas Street with a green copper dome and weathervane depicting St Patrick at its summit.

Built in 1757 and reconstructed in 1815, the tower powered the Roe Distillery, which produced two million gallons of whiskey annually by 1887.

The structure stands as the tallest smock windmill in Europe, representing Dublin's industrial development during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

The tower forms part of The Digital Hub complex, though internal access remains restricted to office tenants and authorized personnel.

Names of original coppersmiths Mitchell, Murray, and Quinn from 1805 remain inscribed above an interior trap door within the structure.

Location: County Dublin
