Gethsemane, Garden in Jerusalem
Gethsemane is an urban garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
It is most famous as the place where Jesus prayed and his disciples slept the night before his crucifixion.
The name Gethsemane derives from Aramaic, meaning 'oil press', referencing the olive trees that still grow there today.
Today, it is a popular pilgrimage site for Christians.
The Church of All Nations, also known as the Basilica of the Agony, stands on this ground.
