Jerusalem Botanical Gardens, Botanical garden in Givat Ram district, Jerusalem, Israel
The gardens contain over 6,000 plant species distributed across six geographical sections representing North America, South Africa, Europe, Australia, Central Asia, and Mediterranean regions.
The garden originated on Mount Scopus in 1931 and moved to its current location near Hebrew University's Givat Ram campus in 1954 due to access issues.
The 500-meter Bible Path features 70 plant species referenced in biblical texts, connecting visitors to regional agricultural heritage.
The facility requires advance ticket purchases to manage visitor numbers and offers a train ride for children through designated sections of the gardens.
The Japanese section includes over 150 bonsai trees, forming one of the largest collections of these miniature specimens outside of Asia.
