Gan HaMoshava, Urban park in Rishon LeZion, Israel.
Gan HaMoshava is an urban park in Rishon LeZion that sits directly beneath the city hall building, with shaded paths, palm trees, and open lawns. Walkways connect the different sections and allow visitors to cross the space from multiple directions.
The park opened in 2023 as part of a redevelopment project that connected the city hall with newer structures built above the existing trees. The original vegetation was kept in place, and the new construction was designed around it.
The open-air theater inside the park draws locals to concerts, performances, and community gatherings throughout the year. It is one of the few spots in the city where people of different ages come together around shared events.
The park is easy to find since it sits right below city hall and has entry points from several sides. Those looking for shade will find it mainly along the tree-lined paths that run through the lower sections.
The city hall buildings were raised on supports so that the mature trees already growing on the site could be kept rather than cleared. Walking through the park, you can see the structure overhead while standing among trees that predate the building.
