Mahabodhi Temple, Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya, India
The Mahabodhi Temple complex features a 55-meter tall pyramidal structure with intricate stone carvings and four smaller towers at its corners.
Emperor Ashoka constructed the original temple during the 3rd century BCE to mark the location where Siddhartha Gautama achieved enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
