White Minaret

The White Minaret in Qadian is a slender, bright tower with three stages that rises prominently over its surroundings. The structure contains stairways connecting its levels and features an illuminated clock set in white marble near its summit.

Construction started in 1903 under one religious leader's direction but was halted before completion came in 1916 under a successor. These phases of building reveal the community's perseverance and shifts across more than a decade.

The minaret serves as a symbol for a religious community and appears prominently on flags and publications. Visitors can feel the deep connection that followers have to their faith and beliefs when spending time at this landmark.

Visitors can reach and explore the three levels via interior stairways, with views from above being quite rewarding. Local guides are often available and willingly explain the building's design and what the site means to the community.

A clock was installed at the top only in 1933, many years after the tower was first finished. This late addition shows how the building's purpose evolved and expanded over time.
