Datia Palace, Seven-story palace in Datia, India

The palace combines architectural elements from Hindu and Islamic styles across its seven floors, featuring intricate carvings and multiple courtyards.

Raja Bir Singh Deo initiated the construction of this palace in 1614, completing it over nine years at a cost of 35 lakh rupees.

The palace contains numerous chambers adorned with traditional frescoes that represent the artistic excellence of the Bundela dynasty period.

The palace stands on an isolated rock on the western side of Datia city, 75 kilometers from Gwalior, accessible through connected roadways.

Despite its grand design and construction as a royal residence, no member of the royal family ever lived in this massive stone structure.
